LIVES are celebrating everyday heroes in Lincolnshire

LIVES are launched their annual Everyday Heroes campaign on 3rd June to celebrate their 700 volunteers.
Everyday Heroes is a summer fundraising campaign ran by LIVES every year to thank the all the LIVES Community First Responders and Medic Responders across Lincolnshire. Throughout the campaign, which runs from 3rd June to 21st July, we’ll be sharing stories about our volunteers and the difference they make.
To show your support for LIVES volunteers, we’re asking everyone in Lincolnshire to dress as a superhero for the day. Superhero Day will officially be 19th July but any day throughout the campaign can be your Superhero Day. Dress as a superhero to your workplace, school or organisation and raise money for LIVES to help ensure LIVES responders can continue to be there for people in Lincolnshire in a 999 medical emergency.
Nikki Silver, CEO of LIVES said: “The LIVES Everyday Heroes campaign is back for another year and throughout June and July we’ll be celebrating all our amazing volunteers who attend thousands of 999 medical emergencies every year. Everyday Heroes is an opportunity to thank and support the LIVES volunteers for the important work they do in Lincolnshire.”
For more information on how you can get involved in everyday heroes, a brand new superhero fundraising pack will be available to download. More information can be found on our website: https://lives.org.uk/everydayheroes/
LIVES will also be launching the first Everyday Hero award, a new addition for 2019, to shine a spotlight on other unsung heroes across Lincolnshire.
The Everyday Hero award encourages anyone to nominate their local hero in Lincolnshire. Nominees will be shortlisted before being put to a public vote. The winner will receive a weekend away for six at Center Parcs.
